= "Canadian Aviation Pride TheGayGuideNetwork.com" COME FLY WITH US :: I take pride in who I am, but I also take pride in what I do. This is what helps me feel excited to get out of bed in the morning. It’s where I find the energy to work just a little bit harder; it’s why sometimes you’ll find me smiling for no good reason as I go about my day.

I belong to a social group that allows me to feel proud in both the “am” and “do” parts of my life. Canadian Aviation Pride consists about 100 LGBT individuals who also work in or are passionate about aviation and travel.  Quickly after joining four years ago, these people  became a group of close friends who have been there for me whether I needed some shop talk, galley gossip or even a new job opportunity.

Canadian Aviation Pride is now expanding, and we are inviting the gamut to join us. Whether you’re in the travel profession, or a student, in the military, or management, aviation support – or just an interested friend, please join us. This summer alone, we’ve participated in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver Pride and we can’t wait to host Canada and the world at World Pride 2014 in Toronto next June.

Your first step in joining in on the fun is to like our Facebook page, and feel free to share it with your favourite aviator or travel enthusiasts. You’ll be looped in on all our great plans from there.

Plus, if  you’re in the Toronto area on Tuesday September 10th we will be hosting one great bash as TheGayGuideNetwork.com presents a special Canadian Aviation Pride edition of Mile High Tuesday at Boutique Bar on Church Street beginning at 9:30 pm. It’s Canadian Aviation Pride’s first public outing, and your opportunity to meet and mingle over signature cocktails, get a shot with one of our crew members (uniforms!) at our photo booth, and win great prizing including a World Pride hotel stay, or some of the amazing swag Shaun Proulx Media is so famous for giving away.

It’s my intention that through Canadian Aviation Pride we can provide you with some of the same experiences, memories and opportunities that I’ve been fortunate enough to experience for the past four years. All are welcome, no boarding pass or airline ID required for this flight!

That’s what I call Mile High Pride.

  1. I love to travel, but never get the chance to, unless it’s an invite to a wedding, funeral or birth, or unless I win a lotto, family inheritance, MVA settlement, or sheer luck of the draw.
My dream destinations would be back to New York City (I’ve been twice), Vienna, Italy, Paris, England, or where my roots are, generations ago, in both Scotland and Poland. Aussie temps me as well, just not the backward flushing of toilets! 😉
