Contest Rules & Regs:

Application: These rules and regulations shall apply to the “Contest” unless stipulated otherwise, and where alternate rules and regulations are made available to the public.  If there are any discrepancies between these rules and regulations and any other rules and regulations posted for any particular Contest (the “Alternate Rules”), such discrepancy shall be resolved in favor of the Alternate Rules.

Eligibility: The Contest is open to legal residents of Canada and who have reached the age of majority in the city in which they reside.  No person who is employed by Shaun Proulx Media or its affiliates, and no persons who are domiciled with any such employee shall be entitled to enter the Contest.

Prize Description:

•  7 nights All Inclusive holiday to Riviera Maya, Mexico for 2 adults
•  Roundtrip economy  airfare from Toronto to Cancun, Mexico
• 7 night accommodation at the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Hotel & Spa 4.5*
• Roundtrip transfers in destination

(In the eventuality that the Winner and his/her guests resides in a city that requires transportation to Transat Holidays departure cities, the costs associated with such transportation are the Winner’s and his/her guests entire responsibility.)

How to Enter 

There is no purchase necessary to enter the Contest.

All entrants must do one of the following to qualify:

If we already have your name and email address then refer up to 5 friends by clicking on the link and filling up the form. Each friend who enters equals one entry for you, to a maximum of five entries.

Upon being declared a potential winner, the winner will be required to answer, unaided a time-limited mathematical skill testing question.  Upon correctly answering that question, the potential winner will be declared the winner. Contest will close at 11:59pm Monday November 21st and winners will be contacted November 30th, 2016.

Odds of Winning: The odds of winning the Contest are dependent on the number of entries received at any given time.

Liability: The winner acknowledges that the collection or use of the prize may be inherently dangerous and agrees to release and hold harmless Shaun Proulx Media, Transat or TripCentral.ca for any and all damages he may incur through entering the Contest or through the collection or use of the prize, including personal injury or death.  The winner also agrees to sign a standard release and waiver of liability prior to claiming the prize.  

Terms and Conditions: Approximate retail value of the trip is $3000 (excluding taxes).  Travel must be taken January 21, 2017 to January 28, 2017.   This prize package is subject to availability at the time of booking.  Travel must be taken in the time period specified and cannot be extended beyond that date.  The winner and his/her travel guests must each have proof of valid travel documents prior to ticketing. The winner and his/her travel guests must be Canadian residents to qualify for the Prize. The winner and his/her travel guests must travel on the same itinerary. The winner and his/her travel guests must have the right to enter destination won.  A minimum of one person, either the Grand Prize winner or one of the travel guests, must hold a valid credit card to cover any incidentals or any other requirement that may be required at the hotel. Ground transfers to and from the winner and/or travelling guest’s residence and designated airport and all other expenses not specified herein or listed within the travel brochure, including but not limited to telephone or fax, gratuities, optional tours, taxes and fees, insurance, medical travel documents, personal expenses, and any other costs not specifically stated herein as being included, are the sole responsibility of the winner and his/her guests. In the eventuality that the Winner and his/her guests resides in a city that requires transportation to Transat departure cities, the costs associated with such transportation are the Winner’s and his/her guests entire responsibility. No extensions will be permitted and the prize cannot be exchanged, transferred or substituted for cash except that  Transat reserves the right to offer a comparable product in the event of a vacation package cancellation,  or other unforeseen circumstances. The Grand Prize winner shall not be entitled to receive, in cash, certificate or otherwise, the balance of any amount representing the difference of the Grand Prize retail value and actual cost. No frequent flyer miles will be available.

General: Prize winners shall be responsible for all costs and expenses not explicitly stated to form part of the prize, including but not limited to taxes, fees, gratuities, insurance, or travel to and from the airport.

Where the Prize includes travel, the Prize winner must ensure that he and his companion have all the necessary travel documents required to travel to the destination on the dates specified in the prize description.

Prior to receiving the Prize, the Prize winner shall sign a standard release and liability waiver absolving Shaun Proulx Media of all its obligations under the Contest and accepting the Prize as awarded as full and final satisfaction of all items owed to him by Shaun Proulx Media.

Shaun Proulx Media, Transat and TripCentral.ca may at its sole discretion substitute a prize or a portion thereof with an alternate prize of equal or greater value.  Notwithstanding the foregoing, Shaun Proulx Media shall not be responsible to substitute a prize or portion thereof where such Prize cannot be redeemed due to factors beyond its reasonable control.

Shaun Proulx Media reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest in any way it deems appropriate, and for any reason, at any time prior to the declaration of a winner.

Any winner who’s won a trip from Shaun Proulx Media in the last 12 months is not eligible to win.

Any pronouns used in these rules and regulations shall be modified for gender and number as the case may require, and shall apply as though the correct gender and number had been included herein.

By entering the Contest, all persons are deemed to have read and to have accepted these rules and regulations.
