Show Notes
- The Racism and Oppression Awareness Month is the initiative of a group of Black, Indigenous and People of Color involved with InterPride.
- The project will be implemented to express their support to the Black Lives Matter movement, but also to the whole Pride organizations and LGBTQI+ globally.
- Carlos discusses how, although over years, InterPride managed to bring together the LGBTQI+ communities around the world to celebrate our Pride, issues related to racism, oppression, sexism, misogyny, transphobia, unconscious biases have always been relevant. The organization has not been successful in addressing them.
- Carlos also shares why he feels the Covid-19 pandemic played a role in the global protests following the killing of George Floyd.
