Fans of the classic British comedy Absolutely Fabulous might almost think Chanel Bonfire, a memoir by actress Wendy Lawless, is ripped from the script of the Jennifer Saunders TV show. It’s not, but the resemblance sure is there: Lawless grew up with a boozing, drugging, designer-wearing, over-the-top delusional mother who dragged her and her sister hither and yon across the globe chasing after the next chance to keep their lavish lifestyle intact.
