SO SMOOTH :: We love a smoothie for breakfast. They’re fast and easy, however, finding one that satiates has always been tricky. Until this recipe found its way into our blender. It has lots fibre to keep you regular (not that you’re not) and protein to temper your appetite. Serves 2.
Blend together:
1 banana
1 cup frozen raspberries (or fresh local berries when in season)
1 cup rice milk or your favourite juice
1 small container of your favourite non-fat yogurt
1 carrot, sliced
1 handful fresh spinach
2 tsp flaxseed oil (shiny hair!)
2 scoops protein powder (any brand)
1/4 cup dry oatmeal
