POP CULTURE :: In 2005, when Canadian actor Dean McDermott told his wife, media personality Mary Jo Eustace, that he was leaving her for Tori Spelling (daughter of Aaron, the man behind mega TV hits like Dynasty, Charlie’s Angels and more) the news went international. It has remained entertainment and tabloid fodder ever since, with gossip blogs scrutinizing the state of McDermott’s marriage to Spelling as recently as this week; Eustace has been in and out of gossip rags ever since.

It’s been ugly. Divorce Sucks is the title of Eustace’s bestseller about the mortifying and painful end of her marriage. For two years, McDermott blocked her on his phone. The paps hid in Eustace’s bushes, shooting images of her taking out the garbage; during this time she was solo parent to two children. McDermott was and is seen as the a villain, a gold-digger, and a bad parent to the five children he now shares with Spelling.

But that was then, seventeen years ago. Now, the two are back together again, and sat down with GGN publisher Shaun Proulx to talk WTF: How they healed old wounds; why they are together once more; and how they want to use their new burgeoning relationship to help others in the same boat.

Note: Shortly after this interview, Mary Jo and Dean parted ways, again. Mary Jo continues to publish new episodes of Exes & Uh-Ohs, on her own. Hear them wherever you get your aural pleasure.
